What happens if I win?
For convenience, most winnings will be paid directly to your National Lottery Account or your debit card. You can claim your prize the day immediately after you win it. Here's how we pay you:

Wins of up to £500
These will be paid directly to your Account. You can either transfer them to your debit card or use them to play more games.

Wins of £501 to £5,000

UK calculation of sterling prize values
Camelot prices its tickets in sterling and allocates 50% of that sale price to the prize fund. Camelot contributes €1 to the euro prize fund for each board sold. The exchange rate difference means there is a difference between these two values, i.e. a prize fund variation.

Camelot adjusts the prize values for its winners on tiers 2 - 12 to utilise the prize fund variation. The prize fund variation is allocated to each of those tiers in proportion to the total UK value of that tier. The UK prize share is calculated by dividing the new tier value, including the prize fund variation allocation, by the number of UK winners. The jackpot is not altered: a UK winner will receive the same jackpot as a winner in any other country, translated into sterling. All UK prizes are paid in sterling, rounded down to the nearest 10p.

For example, if Camelot sells a ticket at £1.50 it contributes £0.75 to the prize fund. If the exchange rate is £0.70 : €1 then the contribution to the central fund is £0.70. The additional £0.05 in Camelot's prize fund is paid out to UK winners in prize tiers 2 to 12.
